I counted 8 different things.They were porridge in the microwave,the car he used,a satellite navigation system,the local petrol station,his credit card,the car park,his factory uses expensive robots that can put the cars together and the supermarket that he bought things in.Computers might be used to control the cashier,the doors and the freezer in the supermarket.

Q2.)Why is it useful to use computers rather than people to control things?What problems might there be if any of the computer systems fail in the supermarket?

There will be more faster and correct in most of the time.Everything in the supermarket will go wrong too.

Q3.)Describe the inputs and outputs for the other devices that we have talked about so far.How do the supermarket doors and car park barriers know when to open?Identify other control systems that work automatically in this way.

The input is to put instructions to the computer and after that,the device makes decisions about what it should do next.The output is the product of a the input process.The supermarket doors and car park barries know when to open because there are detector and have been set to open and close automatically.The stopcock are work automatically in this way too.

Q4.)What would happen if the instructions were wrong?These instructions assume that the car is in the right place.What would happen if the car were not there?How could they stop this happening?

It might be dangerous if the instructions are wrong.All the system will go wrong if the car is not in the right place.So they will set a safe program to make sure there are less risk.
